A number of West High classmates attended Dave's memorial on the beautiful shores of Sweeney Lake in Golden Valley (near his former home) on August 5th. Friends and his two sons, Michael and Sam, gave moving and funny stories about Dave and his deep commitment to caring for his community. His words to live by "Acceptance, Patience and Love" were highlighted by stories of the many times Dave went the extra mile to serve friends and family. His last days were assisting his son and new granddaughter, Aviva, as they helped his daughter-in-law Sarah recover from a brain injury. Dave the sailor, the businessman, the witty comic, wonderful friend and loving husband, father, father-in-in-law and grandfather will be sorely missed. We mourn his loss and celebrate his life.
